Instagram is a brand channel, not an install channel — for indie apps. You can drive awareness, you can't drive installs reliably without paid promotion. If your goal is installs, redirect that time to Reddit, Show HN, or App Store SEO. Keep Instagram if it's joy; kill it if it's hope.
