The accounts you see are filtered by engagement. Engagement comes from extreme outcomes (huge wins, huge fails), never the median. Median indie outcome: 6 months of work, $200/mo revenue, slowly dying. You don't see that. Cap your Twitter time at 15 min/day or you'll burn out comparing your inside to other people's outside.
